Biography

Born in 1998, Filippo Tenisci began his musical studies at an early age in Albania and later in Italy with M^ Emira Dervinyte. He continued his piano training mainly under the guidance of Maestros Daniel Rivera, Massimo Spada, Roberto Galletto and Maurizio Baglini.

A versatile pianist, specialized in the Romantic repertoire; he recorded the complete Wagner/Liszt transcriptions for the well-known Da Vinci Publishing record label, this project gave him the prestigious 2023 Bayreuth Festspiele scholarship.

He recorded the 2nd Beethoven/Liszt Symphony for RAI 5 in 2021 for the documentary “UT Musica – Il Mascagni a Livorno.” Also for RAI 5, he recorded G. Petrassi’s piano music for the program Dentro le Note, hosted by Roberto Prosseda, in 2026.

He completed his studies in 2022 at the Pietro Mascagni Conservatory of Livorno graduating with 110, Honors and Honorable Mention and was elected as the Best Academic Graduate 2021/22 obtaining the Galletta Award.

In 2025 he completed the Master’s Degree Level II “Play&Rec” at the Rovigo Conservatory of Music with highest honors in the class of Maestros Roberto Prosseda and Federico Nicoletta. In the same year he won the International Competition “Franz Liszt” in Rome with a unanimous vote of 100/100 followed by the Rospigliosi Prize (First Prize and Audience Award) and the City of Spoleto Prize

In 2024 he made his solo debut in the United States of America at the invitation of the Art of the Piano Festival in San Francisco.

In the same year he debuted and presented his recording project at the Museo Teatrale alla Scala in Milan at the invitation of Luca Ciammarughi in the “Dischi e tasti” and made his solo debut at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa.

He gave his first live radio concert on the program “La stanza della musica” 2024 on RAI Radio 3, and has also participated as a soloist on other programs on RAI Radio 3, Venice Classic Radio, Radio Vaticana, Radio Musica con le Ali, etc.

On the occasion of the Italian Republic Day 2023, at the invitation of the Consul General, he made his debut at the City Hall in Hong Kong, gaining success and approval from the entire audience.

In 2022 he won first prize at the “Premio Crescendo” in Florence and 2nd prize at the historic “Marco Bramanti” competition in Forte dei Marmi (LU).

In 2021 he made his debut with the Roma Tre Orchestra performing the Concerto No.15 K.450 by W.A.Mozart, under the baton of M° Sieva Borzak. Also with Roma Tre Orchestra, as part of the Baglini Project, he played in the Concerto for 3 Pianos and Orchestra by W.A.Mozart, with pianists Giuseppe Rossi and M° Maurizio Baglini, who also conducted and concerted. In 2026, he performed W. A. Mozart’s famous Concerto No. 20, K. 466, with the CDM Orchestra in Tivoli and Velletri.

In 2020, he collaborated on the documentary “Richard Wagner, ovvero la musica dell’avvenire” by Valerio Vicari.

In October 2019, he won second prize and the “Scarlatti” prize at the Riga International Competition for Young Pianists.

In 2018: he was proclaimed the overall winner of the International Competition for Youth “Dinu Lipatti” and he ranked among the top 8 semifinalists in the prestigious Pianale Academy & Competition, also receiving a scholarship.

In 2016, he won third prize at the International Competition “Resonances” in Paris and the prize for the best performer of Ukrainian music.

He has attended several masterclasses and with renowned masters Vadym Kholodenko, Beatrice Rana, Elisso Virsaladze, Boris Petrushansky, Andrea Lucchesini, Ewa Pobłocka Jun Kanno, Boris Berman, Jean-Marc Luisada

He has performed in many prestigious halls in Italy such as the Auditorium Parco della musica, selected for the lecture/concert of pianist Lang Lang, on the occasion of the “Lang Lang Lang Fest” (2012), in the Giuseppe Verdi Theater in Pordenone, as part of the “TGVP on demand” Project with Maestro Maurizio Baglini (2021), in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Humanities of Roma Tre (starting in 2018), in the National Museum of Arts in Bucharest (2022), Tosti Institute in Ortona (2023), Theatre Villa Torlonia of Rome (2021 and 2025), Theatre Rossini of Pesaro (2024), Theatre Ventidio Basso of Ascoli Piceno (2021 – 2024), Goethe Institut (2026), Giacomo Manzù Museum (2026);

and in several international festivals such as the 36th Liszt Festival in Albano Laziale, FestivaLiszt in Grottammare, The Sound of Liszt at Villa D’Este, Festival Pontino in Sermoneta, Festival Federico Cesi, XVI Rassegna Pietro Nardini, Villa Pennisi in Musica, La Milanesiana, “Villa Borghese Piano Day”, Fano Music Fest (4thand 5th), Livorno Music Festival, Scriabin Concert Series, Propatria Festival, Classic for Teens, Monferrato Classic Festival, Pontedera Music Festival, Maggio della Musica, Ponticello Cagliari, Concert seasons of Università della Tuscia and others.

He recently inaugurated the new Quirinale Concert Season 2025/2026 (Rai Radio 3) with a live radio recital from the Quirinale Palace featuring music by Debussy and Bartók.

Very active internationally, he has performed in: Holland (2026), England (2023 and 2025) at the Keyboard Charitable Trust, Spain (2022 – 2026), at the Eutherpe Hall in León and Shigeru Kawai Hall of Madrid, Romania (2020, 2022, 2023), Germany (2018 and 2021), at the prestigious concert halls Eichenzeller Schlosschen Kultursaal, Propstei Johannesberg and Alte Universitat in Fulda, Latvia, Bosnia (2019), France (2016) and Switzerland (2016), Hungary (2025); always enjoying great success among audiences and excellent reviews from critics and the press. He received the Propatria Festival Award in Bucharest (2022) for enhancing the event by promoting Romanian musical excellence in Italy and abroad.
